Sunshine Ranch in Osteen
Sunshine Ranch is a unique Airbnb experience, located in Osteen, FL, about 45 minutes from Orlando. The Ranch is often referred to as a “Farm Animal’s Sanctuary”, because of the love and dedication that takes place to care for the many animals that reside and roam free here.
Sunshine Ranch is 15 acres of captivating beauty and organic entertainment to engage all of your senses. Here you’ll find a selection of various sized cabins to cater to your specific needs, a bath house, kitchen and high-speed WI-FI on the porch of the main house (also available for accommodation).
If you ever plan to visit, it’s important to know that there are two gates that enclose the ranch, but only one permits entrance. When Divinity and I arrived, we were dropped off at the wrong gate. Thankfully, Luba (one of our hosts) responded quickly and grabbed a golf cart to pick us and our luggage up and bring us to the other gate, where she began to give us a light tour of the ranch.
Upon Luba picking us up at the gate, my Daughter immediately reached out to her for a hug (something that she’s never done before). I was astounded! Come to find out, Luba is an intuitive healer! Children just know and pick up on these things, and it was definitely a confirmation that we were in good energy.
After we received the tour, my Daughter and I unpacked our things and proceeded to explore the eloquence of the nature surrounding us. Divinity jumped with joy, babbled excitedly and pointed her finger ecstatically as the chickens and ducks pattered on by.
With each passing day for the duration of our stay, Divinity’s excitement only persisted. Every time she’d bare witness the giant red and white horse swaying on by, or the pigs scavenging for their next meal or the goats coming to say “hello”, she would glow!
The cabin we stayed in at Sunshine Ranch was cute and cozy, and the setting sun afforded us the most beautiful view right at our door step (the shimmering pond and bright yellow flowers).
What really made this place so perfect for us was the convenience of the location. Although the place is both filled and surrounded by nature, there’s also a very long and beautiful bike trail right in front that leads to a restaurant, gastation and dollar store (all about a 15 minutes walk).
During our stay, the hosts even invited us to their Thanksgiving dinner, which I thought was so thoughtful and kind.
Though our stay here was wonderful, it’s also important to be aware that it is very much like camping. Though the cabins offer a very comfortable accommodation, unless you’re renting the main house, you will need to walk to the bathhouse (shower and toilets) and kitchen (note: the kitchen sink is also in a separate location). Though this isn’t that big of a deal especially considering the experience, it could potentially be challenging if you’re a single parent with a small child(ren).
With that being said, I do still highly recommend this place for families and those of you who want to experience farm animals up close & personal. I think it’s the perfect place for people wanting to visit Disney World or other Orlando Attractions because it really allows for a unique experience.
